Relationship of LI Products to Other Pacific Bell Products & Services

Custom 800 Service

Custom 800 Service is AT&T California’s 800 database product. EUs cannot keep their AT&T California Custom 800 Service when migrating to a CLEC (CLEC). AT&T California’s switching and billing systems are not set up to capture usage on the CLECs lines.

Disposition of the EU's Custom 800 Service must be negotiated prior to the disconnect of the EU's telephone number.

WATS Service
  • Is an outbound product. The End User (EU):
    • Makes intraLATA outgoing calls from an unlisted 1MB-like Business Line.
    • Cannot receive incoming calls.
  • Is in a separate class of service.
  • Is dedicated service.
  • Has a fixed access line associated with it.
  • Requires a separate cable/pair.
  • Has no databases associated with it.
  • Is not associated with Centrex or Direct Inward Dial (DID).

When an EU migrates from AT&T California to an CLEC, the AT&T California WATS number is disconnected. End Users cannot keep their AT&T California WATS Numbers when migrating to an CLEC.

Inside Wire Service

Inside Wire (IW) is the wire and jacks on the customer's (End User's) side of the MPOE, with the exception of Intra-building Network Cable (INC) and/or wire beyond any common control equipment (e.g., PBX).

Note: INC is the building owner's responsibility.

IW does include the cross-connects to or from the INC. However, telephone sets, cords, facsimile machines, computers, and other similar equipment attached to the jack (i.e., CPE) are not part of the inside wire.

AT&T California provides inside wire repair services as described in our tariffs only to AT&T California's End User customers.
