Ground Start / Loop Start
Changes from Loop Start to Ground Start (GST) require the appropriate terminal equipment to accommodate ground start. The affected line(s) may not work with the set or equipment it is terminated to until the set or equipment change has been completed. The line(s) may appear as though it is 'out of order' before the change is completed.

Effective July 17,2007, a new ordering process has been established to change to or from Ground Start/Loop Start.
ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS:
In order to accomplish a change to or from Ground Start/Loop Start, CLEC must submit a change order (ACT C) for REQTYP E (only)
- To change from Loop Start (LPS) to Ground Start (GST)
- populate the GST USOC in the FA and Feature fields
- FA = N, Feature = GST.
- FA = N, Feature = LPS.
- populate the GST USOC in the FA and Feature fields
- To change from Ground Start (GST) to Loop Start (LPS)
- populate the LPS USOC in the FA and Feature fields
Note: The /GST FID will appear within line assignable USOC date in the S&E section to show that the account is set up on Ground Start. If no FID appears, the account will have Loop Start.
