Blocking
Ordering BLOCK Values
Overview
Where tariffs allow, AT&T supports the OBF BLOCK field guidelines for use in AT&T Southwest, AT&T Connecticut, and AT&T West. Specific blocking elements, however, may vary from region to region based on tariff or regulatory offerings. AT&T Midwest Region only supports the BLOCK field for request of OBF values, A, B, C.
BLOCK Valid Entries A, B, C
For all AT&T regions, Billed Number Screening Values – A, B, C is ordered using the BLOCK field on the LSR product forms, where applicable.
LIDB Block Entries
AT&T utilizes the OBF BLOCK Field valid entries for ordering LIDB block elements in the AT&T Southwest, AT&T-Connecticut, and AT&T West regions.
All LIDB block values that represent product offerings in AT&T Southwest, AT&T Connecticut, and AT&T West regions, e.g. 900/976 blocking or toll restrictions, are ordered from the list of values in the BLOCK field on the LSR product forms, where applicable. Refer to the LSOR for the valid values and business rules for ordering of the elements.
AT&T Midwest Region
AT&T Midwest values have been mapped to the appropriate LIDB/BLOCK USOCs, thus eliminating the need for USOCs in the FEATURE field.
Note: In Illinois, certain Central Offices do not permit LSR requests for 976 Blocking and will generate edit IF3242 (Resale) or IF3244 (Port), “976 blocking is not available for central office.”
Refer to IL COs with 900 Blocking Only that lists Illinois Central Offices that permit 900 Blocking only.
